Arlene “Artie” Anderson Birdsall was born October 20, 1928, and passed away peacefully on May 8, 2023. Artie is preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond P. Birdsall and now is happily reunited with him.  She is the daughter of Arthur and Helen Anderson, of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.  Artie grew up in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School.  She attended business school, worked for a time, and soon found the love of her life.  Ray and Artie married in July 1953 and began raising their family on the shores of Lake Michigan in Algoma. The Birdsall family relocated several times, moving to Mississippi, Georgia, Michigan and finally back to Wisconsin.  Artie was instrumental in ensuring 7 kids found their way!  Mom and Dad were a great pair; they complimented one another throughout their life together.

Artie was also active in her community.  She belonged to varied religious groups,in the different cities in which she lived.  In Green Bay, she volunteered at Bellin Hospital for more than 20 years. She was a very active member of Prince of Peace Parish for many years.

Above all else, Artie was a loving dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her kind manner and giving nature was felt everywhere she went. Artie will be sadly missed by her seven children, Raymond Perry III of Green Bay, Sara (Tim) Behrendt of Waukesha,  Bill (Tracey) Birdsall of Naples, FL, Peter (Ann) Birdsall of Green Bay, Mary (Jeff) Dodd, of Dousman, Barbara (Lee) Rowan of Green Bay and Tim Birdsall of Green Bay. Her grandchildren, Susie (Bob) Rach, Steve (Alyssa) Behrendt, Ashley ( Birt) Garner, Phillip (Taylor) Birdsall, Jacob (Viktoriya) Birdsall,  Allison (Ryan) Orton, Matthew (Abby) Dodd, Julianna (Matt) Dodd, Melissa (Richie) Birdsall, Duran (Amanda) Sloan, Seth Sloan, Samantha (Josh) Jacak, and Kaitlyn (Michael) Laux will miss their grandma’s humor and vibrant spirit.    Great grandchildren include, Delaney, Timothy, Eleanor, Macie, Aiden, Hadley, Cole, Asa, Ann, Beckett, Josie, Dane, Callen, Valentina, and Landon.  Artie is further survived by her sister, Milli Illingworth; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Bauldry.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Rd., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023, at the church with Rev.
