Beulah A. Brandner went home to be with God on May 21, 2022.  She was born on March 27, 1933, in New London, WI, to Gerald and Stella (Sheldon) Huettl.  She graduated from New London High School in 1951, and from UW-Stevens Point in 1955 with a degree in Elementary Education.  Beulah then moved to Green Bay where she took up teaching with the Green Bay Public School District, first at Norwood, then at Beaumont School until she retired in 1992.  In 1956, Beulah met her husband Bernie on a blind date. They married on July 19, 1958, and God blessed them with 61 years of loving marriage. Bernie passed away on May 26, 2020.

Beulah’s family and friends were a cherished part of her life.  She had a teacher’s heart, glad to help her students learn and thrive.  She was also interested in everyone she met and had a gift of naturally connecting with them.  Her family often marveled at how much she could come to know about a perfect stranger in a matter of minutes!  That made people feel loved.  Especially after retirement, Beulah enjoyed using her gift of correspondence to stay connected.  She wrote cards and letters to family and friends galore, for every occasion and for “just because,” to encourage and support those she loved. Right up until the end of her life, her favorite seat was always surrounded by her collections of stationery, cards, pens and address book. It was a happy place and a giving place for her.

God blessed Beulah with a strong and vibrant faith that continued to grow through all her life.  All of her children, grandchildren and friends have all been enriched by her faith and trust in God.  She was a woman of integrity, thankfulness, and generosity. She prayed daily for those she loved.

Beulah is survived and greatly missed by her four children: Ann and Mike Westenberg; Barb and Andy Krause; Ted and Dana Brandner; and Al and Katrina Brandner.  She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren: Ben Westenberg (Carla Pearce), Becca (Brad) Shinnick, Rachel Westenberg, Joe Westenberg, Leah Krause, Joanna Krause, Sarah (Mike) Newland, Emily Brandner, Anthony (Taylor) Brandner, Adam Brandner, Nathan Brandner, Sam Brandner, and Caleb Brandner; and three great-grandchildren: Charli Rae Brandner, Sylas Shinnick, and August Newland.  She is further survived by her sister Geraldine Prellwitz; and by in-laws Leon (Lucille) Brandner, Darrell (Nancy) Brandner, Mary Schumacher, Monica (Tom) Danen, Joanne Emerich, and Mary Lou Brandner.  She also leaves many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and dear friends.

Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and brothers-in-law, Lowell Prellwitz, Melvin Brandner, Norbert Brandner, and Norbert Schumacher.
