Robert “Bob” Duescher, 68, died unexpectedly on his birthday, March 28, 2024. He was born March 28, 1956, in Algoma to Richard “Dick” and Rose (Vandenberg) Duescher.

Bob was a graduate of Luxemburg-Casco High School, Class of 1974. After graduating, he began working for Kubiak Pools, and as a transmission mechanic in the Green Bay area for several years. For twenty-five years he worked for R.R. Donnely (Moore Response Graphics) until his retirement. Bob was a member of many tractor and engine clubs. He was a board member of the Wisconsin Steam Antique Engine Club and was known for his 1899 shingle mill. Bob was also an amateur ham radio operator and was a member of the Mike and Key Club for forty-six years. (His call sign was “KA9BXG”). He loved being outdoors cutting wood with his sawmill, making maple syrup, and gardening. Bob and Betty enjoyed traveling, and visited Hawaii, Panama, Colorado, and recently went to Alaska. He will be remembered as a man of many talents who could fix anything, for anyone, and as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; his daughter, Paula (Dan) Bednar; his grandchildren, Kyra Bednar and Henry Robert James Bednar; his siblings, Tom (Pat) Duescher, Harry Duescher, Betty (Charlie) Ratajczak, Sue (Bob) Massart, Fran (Ken) Brezinski, and Bonni (Phil) Romdenne; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gloria Martin, Bob (Julie) Bruss; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant sister, father-in-law and mother- in-law, Herold and Elna Bruss, and a brother-in-law, Fred Martin.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, on Friday, April 5th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friends may also gather at the funeral home on Saturday, April 6th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Carl Brewer officiating. Bob’s family extends a sincere word of thanks to the caring staff of Bellin Hospital Cardiac ICU, to Dr. Bailey, and to Froedtert Hospital.
