Bruce Reineck

Bruce Howard Reineck, 82, passed away at his home Friday, July 1, 2022.  He was born in Milwaukee to Raymond and Irene (Feldman) Reineck on June 2, 1940.  He came to faith at his baptism and was confirmed in his faith at North Trinity Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, and graduated from Custer High School.  Bruce joined the U.S. Army, serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis.  He began his career as a type setter before working for Independent Printing in De Pere until his retirement.

On June 12, 1982, he married Lois Schoeneck and he shared his four children with her.  After moving to De Pere, Bruce served in several offices at St. Paul Lutheran Church and remained involved in church activities.  He enjoyed riding his bicycle and over the years kept track of over 90,000 miles, often stopping for ice cream after his ride. In his retirement, Bruce volunteered at Bellin’s coffee and gift shop, which began his collection of hats to wear for the nurses.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Lois; daughters, Christine “Willow”  Lochlann and her husband, Joshua Rowland; Coral Hildebrandt and her husband Jason; grandchildren, Sarah (Braydon) Burger, Robert Burger, Anne Burger, Jenna Rowlands, Tyler Rowlands, and Aspen Hildebrandt; his siblings, Wayne (Terry), Reineck, Gay (Ken) Poetzl, Elaine (Allen) Pankow and Heidi (Jim) Piese; a sister-in-law,  Carolyn Reineck; his brothers-in-law, David (Carol) Schoeneck and Jon (Deb) Schoeneck; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Matthew and Mark Reineck and a brother, Rolf Reineck.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:50 a.m. on Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 514 S. Clay St.  The Funeral Service will be held at Noon Thursday at the church with Rev. Jon Zabell officiating.  Military Honors will conclude the services.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family and online condolences may be sent to www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established for Jesus Cares Ministry.
