Carol Jane Sanders, 89, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2023. She was born on May 22, 1934, in Allouez, WI, to the late George R. and Elizabeth (Dionne) Vanden Heuvel.

Carol graduated from St. Matthew grade school and St. Joseph Academy.  She worked at Pauley Cheese, where she met her husband Richard, with whom she raised three daughters (born 18 months apart).  Carol worked at Ft. Howard Paper Company as Executive Secretary from 1968 until her retirement in 1994.

Carol was President of the Twins Club, founding member of Resurrection Catholic Parish, and enjoyed playing cards/bridge, summers in Door County, and winters in Florida.  Carol worked hard and always wanted the best for her family.

Carol will be deeply missed by her children, Kim Szatkowski (Thomas), Dr. Anne Browdy (Steven), and Diane Pasono (James); four grandchildren, Michael Pasono (Sheila), Erin Pasono, Amy Szatkowski and Olivia Browdy; and her great grandchildren, Jasmine Pasono and Peyton DeBauche.

She is further survived by her sister, Bette Bulmer, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Lemerond.
