Charlie Ourada

Charles J. “Charlie” Ourada Jr., 80, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 12, 2022, after spending the day surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born in Kewaunee on January 21, 1942, the son of the late Charles and Ludmilla (Stodola) Ourada Sr.   Charlie worked as a truck driver for over 45 years at Green & Gold Concrete.  In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards,  watching the Packers and listening to polka music.

Charlie is survived by his wife Cecilia “Sissy” (Glinski) Ourada whom he married on December 30, 1988; two sons from his first marriage, Charles “Todd” (significant other, Lori VanRens) and Jason Ourada; Sissy’s children, Stacy (Daniel) Michiels, Michelle (Dale) Delvoye and McKenzie (Sarah) Denis; grandchildren, Shawna (Nicholas Sr.) Ward and her son, Nicholas Jr., Dustin Delvoye and his son, Grayson, Alex Delvoye, Landon, Ava, Cameron and Tristan Michiels, Brayden and Trevor Denis; a sister, Rosie (Jerry) Voelker; a sister-in-law, Marie Ourada; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Joan (Schlies) Ourada; a son, Robin Shawn Ourada; his siblings, Dorothy (Joe) Zima, Richard Ourada, Alvan (Marilyn) Ourada, Julia (Vernand) Kudick and Helen (Leonard) Mleziva.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:50 p.m. Monday at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. Monday at the church with Rev. The family extends a special thank you to the staffs at Odd Fellow Nursing Home, Bishop’s Court, and St. Vincent Hospital for their compassionate care of Charlie over the past couple years.
