Christine Englebert

Christine Elaine Englebert, 73, passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2021.  Christine was born on January 9, 1948, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Alvin and Florence (Alexander) Englebert.  She graduated with an Associate Degree in Police Science from NWTC.  Christine worked at the Green Bay Police Department, Visalia Police Department in California and spent the remaining 13 years of her public service career with the De Pere Police Department.  On September 9, 1998, she married James Ostrenga who she traveled the world with and enjoyed a sunny Florida lifestyle.  Christine loved every minute of camping and spending time with family and friends, who were very important to her.  She was a social butterfly and had a contagious laugh and smile.  She was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. 

Christine is survived by James Ostrenga, her husband of 23 years; her daughters, Leslie Fisher, Jackie Key (Chris Mason), Julie Sigmund (Bradley); stepdaughters, Jodi Gilberston (Perry), Jessica Ahnen and Jaimee Van Vonderen (Chad); sister, Sandra Wagner (Carl) and brother-in-law, Myron Ostrenga (Gloria) along with nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Christine is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Florence (Alexander) Englebert; mother and father-in-law, Lucille and Felix Ostrenga and grandparents, Wilbur and Emily Englebert.

A private prayer service will be held for family and close friends.
