Cindy (Mazemke) Lech, age 63, Allouez, WI passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, with her family by her side following a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Shawano on May 26, 1960, to the late Alvin and Patricia (Melhorn) Mazemke.  She graduated from St. James Lutheran Grade School in Shawano and from Shawano High School in 1978.  Cindy later went on to earn her associate degree from Lakeland College.

Cindy had many career choices throughout her life, but she truly had a passion for hospitality, especially when working in the club suites at Lambeau Field.  She had a knack for painting and home renovation. When it came to shopping, she was always sure to find a deal, never paying full price for anything. Cindy loved taking her beloved Finn to the dog park. But, most importantly, Cindy was a woman of strong faith.

Cindy was devoted to her children, Alex and Hanna.  They were her pride and joy; in fact, nothing made her prouder than to talk about them and all of their accomplishments. She was a generous individual and a wonderful friend.  If you asked her to bring one pie for Thanksgiving, Cindy would bring several and maybe a cake too! You knew you were in a special circle when you received an Uncle Mike’s Kringle from her.

Cindy is survived by her children, Alexander (Zofia Voight) Lech and Hanna Lech; her siblings, Debra (Eric) Stodall and Mark (Julie) Mazemke; nieces and nephews: Mackenzie (Alex); Jordan (Jacob); Mitchell (Kelsey); Jesse (Emily) and Casey (Nate) as well as many friends.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. from 4:00-7:00 pm on Friday, February 2. A parish wake service will conclude the evening at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Bernards Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, from 9:30-10:45 am. Funeral Mass at 11:00 am Saturday with Rev. Adam Bradley officiating. Online condolences may be sent to Cindy’s family at www.prokowall.com. In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund has been established in her name.

The family would also like to express a special thank you to Candy (Jeff) Hirt and their children, Sarah (Tyler) Hegbloom, Jessica (Kyle) Skenandore, and Jennifer (Joe) Derenne as well as Ellen, Renee, Holly and Jenny for their support and friendship over the years.
