Dale C. DeGrave

Dale C. DeGrave, passed away peacefully March 7, 2022, with his family at his side. He was born October 1, 1948, the only son of Donald and Marie (LaMal) De Grave. Dale was a graduate of Preble High School, Class of 1966. He married the former Sally Detrie, his high school sweetheart, on May 4, 1968.

Dale was with the Brown County Highway Department for 30 years. Upon his retirement, Dale and Sally resided on Kangaroo Lake in Door County, and later moved to Venice, Florida while still spending summers in Green Bay. Dale enjoyed traveling, music, boating, and biking. He was a former member of the Green Bay Yacht Club, and Freedom Boat Club in Florida. Dale loved driving his corvettes, Packers Football, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dale is survived by his wife, Sally; his sons, Scott (Lynn) DeGrave and Jason (Terry Stormer) DeGrave; his grandchildren, Brooke (Jake), Christian, Jack, Nolan, and Cassidy; his great-grandchildren, Charlette, Brody, and Baby Giesfeldt; mother-in-law, Beatrice Detrie; brothers-in-law, John (Bobbie) Detrie and Jim (Judy) Detrie; sister-in-law, Deanna (Mark) Bevernitz; his aunt, Gladys LaMal; nieces, nephews, and two special cousins, Deborah Lemmen and Elaine Dorner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law, Merlin Detrie.

Friends may call at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Road, on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev.
