David Buechner

David G. Buechner, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, with Wendy at his side. He was born on July 9, 1947, to the late Elmer and Hildegard (Weyer) Buechner in Manitowoc, WI. David proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1965-1967 earning the Purple Heart.  David drove truck and owned the Pines Bar in Maribel and then retired as a mail carrier after 20 years. He enjoyed his time playing softball in Manitowoc, bowling, and golfing. David was an avid outdoorsman hunting ducks and pheasant with the Rockea Hunting Club along with trapshooting. He spent many years deer hunting with his brother Roger. You could often find David on his hunting land cutting wood.

David will be sadly missed by his significant other, Wendy LaFave; son, Brian (Suzanne) Buechner; grandchildren, Bradley (Amanda) Buechner, Ryan Buechner, Matthew (Amaya) Buechner; great grandchildren, Julien, Nora, Benjamin, Fayelynn, Isabella, Lillian, and Maverick; brothers, Roger Buechner and Dale (Marge) Buechner; brother-in-law, David Stock and Wendy’s family, Kathy (Kelvin) Powell, Michelle (John) Enyart, Heidi (Dave) Parrott, and Mike (Jodi) LaFave. David is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by his sister, Rochelle Stock.

Per David’s wishes a private graveside service will be held. He will be entombed at Knollwood Cemetery in Manitowoc. Online condolences may be expresses at www.prokowall.com. In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy Dave insists you grab a Miller Lite for “Just One More.”
