David L. “Dave” Gauthier of Maribel, passed away on February 4, 2022 at the age of 73 with his loving family at his side. Dave was born August 6, 1948 to Henry and Agatha (Rueckl) Gauthier.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Peggy and children Amy (Dan) Ginger of Fairfax, VA and his son Steven (Hazami) of Alexandria, VA. He is also survived by grandsons Benjamin and Graham Ginger, sister Janet Hermans and brother Dale (Elaine) Gauthier and many nieces and nephews, and his best furry friend, Cassius.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Gauthier, brother-in-law Hub Hermans, nephew Joseph Gauthier and his beloved dog, Jack.
Dave graduated from Premontre High School in 1966. He attended UW Madison and UW Green Bay. Dave spent most of his career working in building supplies. His later years spent in real estate. Dave had a lust for life and camping was one of his favorite past times. He especially enjoyed 25 years of seasonal camping at Cedar Valley Campground in Kewaunee. He also enjoyed driving to Virginia to spend many Thanksgivings with his family. Dave will be remembered for his hearty infectious laugh, his sharp wit, and sense of humor.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 13th at Brown County Neshota Park, 5757 Park Road, Denmark from 12-4:30 pm.
