Deloris L. Blohowiak

Deloris L. Blohowiak, 91, died Saturday, September 3, 2022, following a brief illness. She was born December 9, 1930, in Marinette, WI to Ferdinand and Eva (Dellis) Howard.

Upon her mother’s passing, Deloris’ father remarried, and she was raised by her stepmother Clara (Mueller) Howard. Deloris was a graduate of Sevastopol High School, Class of 1949. On July 15, 1950, she married Gordon John Blohowiak, Sr. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2003. Deloris loved to spend her time gardening, polka dancing with Gordon, taking trips with him, bowling, and singing in choir with Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She will be remembered by her family for her excellent baking and cooking, but most importantly as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Deloris is survived by her children, Gary E. (Mary) Blohowiak, Marcia (Ronald) Krause, Gerald “Jerry” (Peggy) Blohowiak, Gordon (Pauline Schuster) Blohowiak, Jr., Gene (Linda) Blohowiak, George (Mary) Blohowiak, Brenda Jacquet (special friend Wayne Young), Katherine (Timothy) Kelly, and Greg Blohowiak (special friend Kristin Baeten); 29 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; her siblings, Audrey, Joyce, Harley, Herbert, Darlene, Melinda, Wayne, and Sylvia; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, a son, Grant (Dawn) Blohowiak; a grandson, Jason Blohowiak; a granddaughter, Tabitha Blohowiak; her parents, her stepmother, and many brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, on Friday, September 9th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.  A Parish Wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Friends may also call at SS. Edward and Isidore Catholic Church, 3667 Flintville Road, Town of Flintville on Saturday, September 10th from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev.
