Dolores “Lorie” Cayemberg entered heaven on the holiest of days, Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, one day shy of her 85th birthday.  She was born in St. Kilian April 1, 1939, the daughter of Romand and Leona (Beogel) Kuehl. Lorie graduated from Kewaskum High School. On May 14, 1960, she married Patrick W. Cayemberg at St. Kilian Catholic Church in her hometown.  Patrick preceded her in death unexpectedly on May 15, 2010.  Lorie’s family was everything to her.  She hosted Monday night dinners for years at her home and gathered the clan together for Saturday morning breakfast.  Times spent with her children and grandchildren brought her true joy.

Lorie was a longtime member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Green Bay, and her faith was very important to her.  She was a huge sports fan, beginning with watching her children and grandchildren compete to watching Phoenix games.  Her dream was fulfilled when she became a Packer season ticket holder after 34 years on the wait list.  She enjoyed working puzzles, camping, bowling and watching the birds.  For fun and excitement Lorie could be found dancing at country music festivals, playing a competitive game of cards, filling her bingo card or spending time shopping. She also enjoyed taking rides to view the holiday lights and fall colors.

Her life will be celebrated by four daughters and their spouses, Cindy and Michael Kolb, Bonnie Cayemberg, Lori Ann and Joe Frisbie, Karen and Bruce Butterfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Cherie Cayemberg; her beloved grandchildren, Kent Kolb, Sam Frisbie, Jackson Frisbie, Erik (Kristina) Butterfield, Vincent Butterfield, Delaney Butterfield, Benjamin Cayemberg and Daniel Cayemberg; great-grandchildren Abigail Butterfield and Brody Frisbie; a sister, Helen Beisbier; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roland Cayemberg, Marge and Joe Konkel, and Sarah Cayemberg; close family friends, John and Kay Hasenohrl; nieces, nephews and many friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Max Herrscher; her parents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Patrick and Laura Cayemberg; sisters, Lorraine (Vincent) Ryan and Alice (Donald) Wood; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alois Beisbier, Darold (Patsy) Cayemberg, Wayne Cayemberg, Glen Cayemberg, Shirley Cayemberg and Richard List.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:50 p.m. on Thursday, April 25th at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St.  A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Entombment will be in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established. Keep on dancing and smiling!
