Donald R. “DJ” DeJardin, 82, passed away peacefully at his home on May 1, 2023, with his family by his side.  He was born on September 11, 1940, in the town of Red River, the son of the late Joe and Alice (Berger) DeJardin.  DJ grew up on the family farm, and after graduating from Luxemburg High School, he moved to Green Bay.  DJ began driving truck for Ebeling Trucking and Schneider National. He then spent 26 years at UPS where he met many life-long friends, including his best buddy, Jim Selner.  On October 5, 1968, DJ married Judy Henschel of Carlsville, WI.

He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandkids.  He was never at a loss for words, and there wasn’t a place he went where he didn’t know somebody.  DJ enjoyed 47 years taking trips to Crivitz, welding, woodworking, playing cards, trips to the Henschel Sawmill, snowmobiling, camping, and watching his grandkids’ sports.  He was also an active member of the Valmy Thresheree.

DJ is survived by his wife, Judy DeJardin of Green Bay; son, Jeff (Vicki) DeJardin of De Pere; daughter, Jill (Gary) Dequaine of New Franken; daughter, Natalie (Scott) Dequaine of Luxemburg; daughter, Laurie (Rodney) Berceau of Green Bay; grandchildren, Logan, Sydney, Nicole, Nick, Kirk, Shawna, Kristy and Cory; brother, Larry (Barb) DeJardin; sisters-in-law, Percy DeJardin, Clara DeJardin, Cathy DeJardin, Virginia Utter, Pat Bley, and Helen Henschel; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; special friends, Curt (Faith) Freeman of Georgia, and Danny Ebeling of Green Bay.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe, Mel, Ron, and Kenny; sister-in-law, Pearl; mother-in-law and father-in-law; brothers-in-law, Roger Henschel, Gene Utter, and Gary Bley; nephew, Doug Utter; nieces, Pam Pamperin and Lisa Henschel; and granddaughter, Nicole Liscom.
