Eleonore Rieger

Eleonore “Lore” Rieger, 89, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.  She was born in Dresden, Germany on January 27, 1935, the daughter of Alfred and Katherina (Gensen) Weimann.  Lore married Reinhold F. Rieger in Hamburg, Germany.  The two moved to the United States with their family in 1964 and moved to Green Bay in 1980.  Lore belonged to the German American Society, being especially active in her younger years.  She enjoyed embroidering, tending to her flower garden, and times spent with the “Reiser Girls” who she met when she worked at Reiser’s Diamond Vault.  More than anything, Lore loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two children, Constantin “Tino” (Kacey) Rieger, Bossier City, LA and Tatjana (Tahsen) Qadada, Green Bay; a son-in-law, Robert Baranowski; her grandchildren, Maj. Constantin “Tee” (Diana) Rieger, Courtney Norton, Sabrin (Darryl Gerondale) Qadada, Mariam (Sean) Belton, Christa Baranowski and Yasmine Qadada; great-grandchildren, Emily, Hadley, Claire, Parker, Lauren and Caroline; two sisters, Luise (Joe) Stoklas and Annel (Franz) Reinbacher; a special niece, Kathy Vicker-Smith; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and a daughter, Martina Rieger.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 9th at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. Green Bay.  Memorial Services will be held at noon Saturday at the funeral home.  Lore will be interred at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  To send online condolences visit www.prokowall.com.  A Memorial Fund has been established.
