Harriett K. Haines

Harriett K. Haines, 85, died at Allouez Parkside Village surrounded by family and under the care of Heartland Hospice on Saturday, August 14, 2021.  She was born October 26, 1935, in Alexandria, South Dakota to Frances X. and Della M. (Foster) Kayser.  Harriett graduated from Alexandria High School and received her Associate Degree from Presentation School of Nursing in Aberdeen, SD.  On June 25, 1956, she married Darold A. Haines.  The couple raised nine children while Harriett worked as an emergency room nurse.  She retired after a 35-year career from St. Vincent Hospital. 

She is survived by eight children, Theresa (David) Wick, Onalaska; Doris Haines-Staddler, Plover; Rodney (Donna) Haines; Green Bay; Steven (Mary Jo) Haines, Green Bay;   Ann Steinfeldt, Green Bay; Robert (Debbie) Haines, Green Bay; Kathleen Haines, Suamico;  Wayne (Maggie) Haines,  Green Bay; ten grandchildren,  Alysia Wick, Jessica Lueck, Justin Haines, Kyle Haines, Nikki Gray, Scott Uran, Stephanie Fleek, Justin Enderby, Elizabeth Enderby , Matthew Enderby, Cassandra Roberts, Niki Stotzheim, Kyla Demuth, Sierra Haines, Justin Houska and Michael Styczynski;  many great-grandchildren; a sister, Shelly Kayser; a sister-in-law, Judy Kayser; a chosen sister, Donna Zuiderhof; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 14, 1995; a daughter, Susan Haines; two sons-in-law, Paul Staddler and Glen Steinfeldt; her parents; two brothers, Gene (Ginger) and Richard Kayser; two sisters, Gladys (Gary) Moeller and Sr. Ritamary Kayser.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev.
