Jerome “Jerry” Torp, 73, De Pere, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on May 20, 2023. He was born on November 22, 1949, in Racine, WI to Jess and Viola (Ripp) Torp.

On October 10, 1970, he married the woman who not only became his wife but his best friend, Dolores Bruskeiwicz, Green Bay. In addition to being a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, Jerry was a diesel mechanic for all of his career. He also drove motor coach for Lamers Bus Lines. For ten years he was also a volunteer for the Lawrence Fire Department. If you knew anything about Jerry, then you know he could build or fix just about anything. He was precise and meticulous in all he did right until the very end. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren and the special times and memories he shared with EACH one of them.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Dolores; two children, Todd (Paula) Torp; Tina and Jesse Wotruba; five special grandchildren, Brayden, Kayla and Sawyer Torp, Zachary and Aislinn Wotruba; and one brother, Tom. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Dick, Bob and Jim, and two sisters, Jean and Annie.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be planned by his family at later date. Online condolences may be expressed to Jerry’s family at www.prokowall.com.

Special thanks to the staff at Aurora Healthcare, in particular to Dr. Mendoza-Ayala and Kristen Moen, and to Unity Hospice for the care and compassion given to Jerry and his family. They are truly God’s angels on earth. An extra special word of thanks to Jane and Dan Klug for making each day easier throughout this journey.
