Jerry (Big-Jer) Kershek, age 71, Bellevue resident, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at a local hospital.  He died doing what he loved, fixing things at the farm with his family.  Jerry was born March 6, 1951, in Oconto Falls, to the late Joe and Jackie (Gollhardt) Kershek.  He attended Oconto Falls High School and worked most of his life as a Millwright for Lignotech and Fort Howard in Green Bay.  Jerry was a very kind and caring person with the biggest heart.  He had “too big of an imagination” with loads of stories to tell and silly sayings.

Besides family and fixing things, he loved shooting at the De Pere Sportsmen’s Club, riding his Harley, hunting and fishing and cooking.  His Booyah and Chili were outstanding.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of over 50 years, Barb (Golonka) Kershek; sons, Jerry (Laurie) and Jim (Anny); grandchildren, Zoe and Gabe; fur-babies, Neko and Romeo; brothers, John (John Potter) Kershek and Jeff Kershek; niece, Kaitlyn; nephews, Kyle, Tyler and Ross (Liz); aunts, Nancy Kershek and Karen Lewins; brother-in-law, Ken (Shirley) Golonka and many nieces and nephews.

In honoring Jerry’s wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to Jerry’s family at www.prokowall.com.

A special thank you to the Oconto County Police and Rescue, and the emergency room at HSHS St. Clare in Oconto Falls.  In lieu of floral expressions, please consider donating to any animal
