Joanne C. Smith, 80, of Green Bay, formerly of Kenosha and Wrightstown, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023. She was born September 24, 1942, in Brookfield to Joseph and June (Zacker) Bobrowitz. While in Green Bay, she was employed by the St. John’s Homeless Shelter and volunteered for various groups. Her Catholic faith was important to her and she leaned on it during her one month battle with cancer of the brain.
She is survived her four children, Lynn, Michael, Robert and Jeff; and grandchildren including a granddaughter, Cassie who she was especially close to; her siblings, Joe Bobrowitz and a sister Mary Mille; a close family friend, Tom Wendricks; and many friends and neighbors who Joanne was grateful to for their support.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will held at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop from 9:30 to 10:50 a.m. Saturday, April 22nd. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Tom Reynebeau officiating. The Mass will be livestreamed at gbres.org/live.
