Joseph Dufek

Joseph Dufek, 76, of Green Bay passed away on Monday, Feb 5, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born June 22, 1947, to the late Francis and Ione (Frisque) Dufek from Pilsen, WI.

Joe was a plank owner in the Navy on the USS VOGE (DE-1047). He was discharged as a Quarter Master II. He enjoyed traveling with family from Mexico to Canada. Weekends were spent throughout Wisconsin at festivals, farmers markets, craft shows, and music venues.

Joe loved working with his hands, at home he was busy with numerous hobbies, such as his elaborate garden, wood working, fishing, crafts, cooking (cuisine connoisseur) and reading. (Many loaves of bread were enjoyed by his family.)

Joe is sadly missed by two sons, Scott and Todd Dufek; grandchildren, Christopher Dufek and Samantha Dufek; great granddaughter, Aira Dufek; siblings, Allen (Onnie) Dufek, David (Barbara) Dufek, Nancy Dufek, Francis (Kathy) Dufek, Dennis (Cheryl) Dufek, Linda (Tim) Pigeon; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; also, his fishing buddy Jerry (Danny) Granius.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie (Le Cloux) Dufek of 53 years.

The family extends their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Bellin Hospital and Unity Hospice for their extraordinary care.

Per Joe’s request there will be no formal funeral service. In the future there will be a family and friends gathering.
