Joseph H. Roth, 88, Green Bay resident, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, December 27, 2022, at a local hospital. He was born February 20, 1934, in Menasha to the late Joseph and Anna (Griesbach) Roth. Joe attended St. Mary’s High School in Menasha, graduating in 1953. He entered the US Army in 1955, until his honorable discharge in 1957. Joe married Joanne Zeller on November 27, 1958, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He was associated with Zeller Marine and Ski Shop until his retirement in 1995.

He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed fishing and boating. Joe was also an accomplished marksman in Skeet using those skills while bird hunting with his dogs. He always looked forward to winter because he loved to ski. Joe always enjoyed a round of golf and spending time with his family in Door County. Joe was known to be a mechanical genius to the family, friends and customers he worked with over the years. He and Joanne have been faithful members at St. Bernard Parish for 30 years.

Joe is survived by his wife Joanne; brother, Gary (Diane) Roth and two sisters, Laurine Malcheski and Rosella Plass; brother-in-law, Alfred Zeller; sister-in-law, Joan Roth; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Raymond Roth; sister, Ruth (Henry) Witteman; two brothers-in-law, Edward Martin and John Malcheski; sister-in-law, Alice Zeller; brother-in-law, Donald (Barbara) Zeller and his in-laws, Alfred and Clara Zeller.

Friends may call at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane on Friday, December 30, from 9:00-10:45 am. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Friday at the church with Rev. Mark VanderSteeg officiating.
