Karen Sinkler

Karen M. Sinkler, 77, Green Bay, formerly of Door County, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.  She was born on January 7, 1947, in Sturgeon Bay to the late Ed and Irene (Schumacher) Poehler.  On October 22, 1966, she married Dale Sinkler at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay.  He preceded her in death on March 4, 2020.  Along with her husband Dale, they owned and operated multiple businesses in the Sturgeon Bay area over the years.  Karen enjoyed the simple things in life.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her daughters, Shelly (Dale) Lindner and Kelly (Samuel) Kinard; four grandchildren, Aaron (Nora), Peyton and Sammie Kinard, and Samantha Lindner; siblings, Linda (Butch) Georgenson, Kathy (Dale) Rass and John Poehler; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, JoAnn Vogel, Lee (Betty) Sinkler, Judy Gallenberger, Lynn (Wayne) Wians and Dawn (Chuck) Nuthals; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank (Sherry) Poehler, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Allen Sinkler, John Sinkler, Patricia Wisnicky, Marc Vogel and Greg Gallenberger.

Visitation will be held at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Memorial service 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
