Kathleen Maccoux

Kathleen Ann (Bartels) Maccoux of New Franken, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024, with family by her side. Kathy was born on October 31, 1951, in Green Bay to the late William and Patricia (McClone) Bartels. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Kathy brought joy and warmth into the lives of all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed.

Kathy graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1970 and from UW-Oshkosh in 1974  with a degree in journalism.  She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Kathy enjoyed a long career in the marketing and advertising field. She enjoyed spending time in Door County, shopping trips with her mom and sisters, and wintering in Gulf Shores. Above all, she enjoyed time with her family.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Wayne; son, Erik (Jessica Edwards), Mequon; four grandchildren, Bradyn, Carsyn, Jamesyn, and Sullivyn; two sisters, Judith (Gary) Dietzo, Kohler and Beth Bartels, Neenah; her brother, Steven (Julie) Bartels, Green Bay; sister-in-law, Amy (Dave) Dier; three brothers-in-law: Brian Maccoux and Kathy Tauschek; Bruce (Becky) Maccoux and Neal (Julie) Maccoux; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her in-laws, Sanford and Germaine Maccoux.

Kathy’s kindness and generous spirit were evident in her volunteer activities with Aspiro, Encompass Early Education and Care, and Holy Cross Church. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Sunday, April 21, from 3:00-7:00 pm. The evening will close with a parish wake service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Rd. from 9:30-10:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of Kathy’s life at 11:00 am Monday with Abbot Gary Neville, O.Praem officiating. Entombment in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Please join us as we honor and remember a remarkable woman who brought light and love into the world.
