Marlin Lewis

Marlin “Louie” H. Lewis, 84 Allouez, passed away on Wednesday, Feb 21, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Green Bay, WI, April 17, 1939, to the late Harold and Erna (Meintz) Lewis.

Marlin was a graduate of Premontre High School. Following high school, he proudly served his country with the US Marine Corps in 1957. After 32 years of dedicated service to Proctor and Gamble Marlin retired in 1995.

Louie Enjoyed, spending time with his children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.  He liked to have breakfast with his retired “buddies” as well as spending time with his special friend Marge. Marlin was especially fond of traveling frequenting Acapulco, Mexico for many years. He enjoyed playing cards, time in his Cabin, hunting, and UWGB women’s basketball games. Marlin was an active member of the Polish Legion of American Vets and was a member of St Willebrord Parish. Most importantly, he was a devoted husband, dad, brother, and friend.

Louie will be sadly missed by his four children, Mary Jane (James) Howard, Lori (Robert “Tye”) Flagstad, Gordon (Nancy) Mullen, Paul (Rose) Lewis; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Orrey, Craig, Jimmy, Corey, Olivia and Amber and 10 greatgrandchildren; his sister, Shirley Fischer, and his special friend Marge Karcz. Marlin is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Louie was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Lewis; grandson, Benjamin Flagstad; sister, Durleen Braasch; brother, William (Red) Lewis; niece, Melissa Hinnendale and brother-in-law, Donald Fischer.

Friends and family may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home 1630 E Mason St., on Friday, March 1, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation for Marlin will continue Saturday, March 2, at St Willebrord Church, 209 S. Adams St., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Cribben O. Praem officiating. Louie will be laid to rest in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. A memorial will be established in Marlin’s name.

Marlin’s family extends their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Unity Hospice for their care and compassion given to Louie and his family.
