It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Melintha “Mindy” or “Linthy” (Gleffe) Faltynski on October 4, 2022. Mindy left the burdens of her earthly body and with peace of mind and heart she joyfully joined The Lord in his Heavenly Kingdom.

Mindy was born in 1954 on All Saint’s Day in Green Bay, the first-born daughter of Merlin and Maurita (Heimerl) Gleffe. She was a lifelong resident, attending St. Willebrord Catholic School, Washington Middle School and was a proud graduate of Green Bay East High School. Mindy worked for many years at Bellin Hospital, initially as a HUC on the Cardiac/Medical floor and ended her employment in the staffing office. Mindy was perfectly suited for the healthcare field, she treated everyone she met with respect, kindness and compassion.

She was, of course, a Packer fan and a proud supporter of Green Bay East High School. Mindy thoroughly enjoyed watching her nieces and nephew as they participated in various sports and musical activities. She was very proud to attend their high school and college graduations. However, her greatest joy was her grandchildren, they always brightened her day and brought a smile to her face.

Though these last several years were difficult, she met these challenges head on with optimism and dignity.

Mindy is survived by her son, Michael (Tiffany) Faltynski and her grandchildren Greycie, William and Ethan; her sisters, Heidi Bos, Coe Gleffe, Amy (Jerry) Wallace and Alecia (Joseph) Kobylarczyk; nieces and nephew, Kimberly Gleffe, Marissa (Nathan) Heim, Morgan Kobylarczyk and William (fiancée Savannah) Kobylarczyk and great nephews, Jackson and Merrick Heim.

Mindy anticipated the reunion with her parents, grandparents, brother-in-law, Kenneth Bos; favorite dog, Drake, and all other relatives and friends who preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Paul Umentum officiating. Mindy will be entombed at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com. In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.

Our family is forever grateful to Moraine Ridge Senior Living, HSHS St. Vincent Hospital 9th floor staff, 6ICU staff, especially the dedicated Hospitalists, Intensivists and Specialists who cared for Mindy with compassion, the staff of Unity Hospice Jack and Engrid Meng Residence, Deacon Paul Umentum and family friend, Joan Arves.
