Michael John Dobkoski was reunited with his family and friends in heaven on Wednesday, January 17th 2024, supported in prayer and surrounded with the love of his family at his side.

Mike was born to the late Edward and Jane Dobkoski on November 13th, 1949.  He attended St. Agnes grade school and was a 1968 graduate of Premontre High School.  After starting college at UWGB, he completed his degree at the University of Wisconsin Madison, School of Pharmacy.  As he promised a week after his graduation, he married the love of his life, Catherine Ladowski on May 26th, 1973.  His marriage to Cathy brought him one of his greatest joys, his son, Michael.

His career began as an intern at Krider Drug Store.  Over the years, he also worked for Osco/ CVS.  He ended his career working for Oneida Community Health Center.  He received many awards over the years for his outstanding service to his customers.  After his retirement, his greatest joy became creating memories with the two blessings in his life – his granddaughters, Maya and Sophie.  With them, he especially enjoyed trips to Door County, fishing, movies, swimming, and attending all of their events for school, piano, climbing competitions, and more.

Through the years, he was a proud member of Phi Delta Chi Pharmacy Fraternity, Sunrise Optimist Club of Green Bay, and past president of Brown County Pharmacy Association.  His favorite past times included golfing, listening to music, poker nights, fishing on the lake, bowling on leagues, and watching all the Wisconsin sports – Packers, Badgers, and Brewers.

Michael will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Cathy; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael Joseph Dobkoski and Inge Yuwono, and grandchildren, Maya Natalie and Sophie Grace;  his sisters, Mary Derozier, Theresa Drevs; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Ladowski, Patti Lindbo, Ellen Ladowski and Diane Dobkoski.  He is also survived by many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Donne Dobkoski, and brothers-in-law, Dale Derozier, Clair Drevs, Keith Lindbo, and Rich Fischett.

Visitation for Michael will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4:00 p.m. until time of Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues Friday, January 26, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Drive, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dave Funk officiating. Michael will be entombed at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com. In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy a memorial will be established in Mike’s name.

Mike’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the many compassionate caregivers and medical personnel who were part of his journey over the years, especially Dr. Deepak Kilari, Dr. David Groteluschen, and Dr. Yee Chung Cheng.
