Michael Kinney

Michael Charles Kinney, 75, Green Bay, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021.  He was born on April 20, 1946 in Green Bay to the late Daniel and Gladys (Denis) Kinney.  He attended grade school at St. Philip the Apostle and was a 1964 graduate of Preble High School.  Mike moved to Kenosha and married the late Carlene Pecka and they had two sons, the late Steven Kinney and the late Joseph Kinney.  He served his country in the United States Air Force and then returned to Kenosha to work in the Foundry.  Mike and Carlene divorced, and he moved to Wausau where he met Linda Hoffmann, having one son, David.  Mike was so lucky about four years ago when he moved back to Green Bay to meet the love of his life, Kathy Hendrickson.  Mike and Kathy did everything together and enjoyed each other so much.  She gave him a reason to live.  Pancreatic Cancer took his life away.

He is survived by his son, David Kinney (fiancée, Heather Marquardt); grandson, Aaron Kinney;  siblings, Dennis Kinney, Calvin (Gerry) Kinney, Gloria Jorgensen-Shea, Kathi (John) Heezen; brother-in-law, Ken Murray; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and two sons, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Colleen Murray and Ione McGrath Smith; brothers-in-law, Gerald Jorgensen and Dr. John Shea.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Memorial service 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the funeral home with Sr. Helen Keyzer officiating.  Final resting place will be at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
