Mildred J. “Millie” Valentine, 101, died Thursday, December 3, 2021. She was born April 10, 1920, in the Town of Franklin to Nickolas and Minnie (Weber) Finnel. She was the tenth child in a family of twelve.

On August 28, 1943, Mildred married Marvin Valentine at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2009. For many years she worked for Kraft, Safeway, and eventually retired from Pauley Cheese Company. She was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Altar Society. Mildred loved baking, cooking, staying busy, sewing, dancing, and playing the slots.

Mildred is survived by her son, Michael (Connie) Valentine, Green Bay; six grandchildren Christine Jahnke, Kelly (Rob) Walters, Paula (Jake) Golden, Michael Capelle, Melinda (Jeff) Starry, and Daniel Valentine; one great-grandson Ashton Rowell; her step-grandchildren, Dustin (Valerie), Shanna, Bob (Ann), Jody Nordell (Rich), Tom Clayton (Tina); a son-in-law, Charles Capelle; a Godchild, Jane Kadletz; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin; her daughter, Rosemarie Capelle; her parents; an infant sister, Margaret; her sisters and brothers, Catherine (Carl) Langenberg, Gladys (Jim) Pelnar, Marie (Matt) Boehringer, Loretta (Adolph) Davister, Delores (Wencil) Stodola; brothers, Richard (Elsie) Finnel, Clarence (Elinor) Finnel, Earl (Alice) Finnel, Bernard (Lillian) Finnel, and Nobert (Ann) Finnel.

Friends may call at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 312 Victoria St., on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev.
