Peter Naniot

Peter Naniot, 74, passed away after battling Alzheimer’s Disease on Saturday, May 21, 2022.  He was born June 26, 1947, the youngest child of Henry and Mildred (Lindsley) Naniot.  Peter attended Preble High School.  During the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany.  When he returned to Green Bay, he began a 40 year career with Green Bay Drop Forge.

Peter married Susan Wendricks on July 30, 1977.  He had proposed to her with a diamond in her Easter basket after a 4 year courtship.  The two enjoyed 45 years of marriage, raising their fur babies together and sharing adventures.  Many nights were spent at local dirt tracks, as Peter manned the pit crew for Van Pay Racing for over 36 years.  He also collected and built many model cars.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Naniot; a sister-in-law, Nancy Naniot; Sue’s brothers and sisters, Tom Wendricks; Beth (Jerry) Lardinois; Cindy (Phil) Corsten, John Wendricks; and Karen (Bill) Boucher; his godchildren, Mary Lou Kudick and Tiffany Barth; a lifelong friend, Jim (Linda) Vande Hey; and his racing brothers, Steve (Cheri) Van Pay and R.M. “Buck” Van Pay; and  Race Van Pay

He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Bernice Wendricks; brothers, Kenneth (Betty), Roger (Joyce), Donny (Bev) and Paulie Naniot.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St.  A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Military Honors will conclude the services.  Entombment will be in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  To send online condolences visit www.prokowall.com.
