Rita Muldoon entered this earthly world on February 17, 1929, and was called back home to her Lord and Saviour on her 95th birthday, Saturday, February 17, 2024.  She was born to Elmer and Anna (Stingle) Schauer, the third of their five children.  After graduating from Green Bay East High School with the Class of 1946, Rita worked in banking for several years.  On June 3, 1952, she married William “Bill” Muldoon at St. Willebrord Catholic Church and the union was blessed with three children.  The family resided briefly in Washington State and Washington D.C. when Bill was deployed there, but Green Bay was always home.  Rita was a stay at home mom who enjoyed crafting, bowling with her sister Lois, and walking the Bay Park Square Mall with friends.  The family enjoyed camping, which Rita and Bill continued in their later years throughout the United States.  Rita and Bill were snowbirds, wintering in Arizona for over 25 years.

Those who cherish her memory include Bill Muldoon, her husband of 71 years; her three children, Linda (Phil) Baye, Michael (Sandra) Muldoon and Sue (Michael) Gorczany; her grandson, Christopher; nephews and nieces.

She was greeted in heaven by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-law, Frances and Desmond Muldoon; four siblings, Dorothy (Ed) Reichenbach, Lois (Ed) Meert, Jim (Arlene) Schauer, and Marianne Schauer; a brother-in-law, Justin Brahan; a sister-in-law, Patricia (Pete) Peterson and an infant sister-in-law, Mary Margaret Muldoon.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave. in Howard.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. James Lucas officiating.  Entombment will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.  To send online condolences visit www.prokowall.com.

The family extends their gratitude to everyone at Brookview Meadows where Rita has made her home over the past couple of years, and an extra special thank you to her hairdresser Jane Lasecki for her years of making Mom feel beautiful. Also, thanks to the nurses, doctors and palliative team at Bellin Hospital and the Unity Hospice ladies who were so kind to Mom during her last days.
