Robert Clusman

Robert “Bob” Clusman, 87, Howard resident, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, May 7, 2024.  He was born on April 23, 1937, in Green Bay to the late Norman and Genevieve (Van Veghel) Clusman.  Bob attended St. Mary of the Angels Grade School and graduated from Central Catholic High School with the class of 1955.  He then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in history from St. Norbert College.  While at St. Norbert, Bob was a member of the Army ROTC and in 1959 had obtained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant upon graduation.  Bob then served his county in the United States Army from 1959 until his honorable discharge as a 1st Lieutenant in 1962.

On October 25, 1958, he married F. Connie Kane at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stark.  Bob began working at Green Bay Packaging in the sales division and achieved the position of Plant Manager.  After 24 years at Green Bay Packaging, he purchased Badgerland Printing and continued to operate with his wife, Connie, until their retirement.

Bob had a very active and productive life.  While in high school and college, he played tennis competitively.  For several decades after school, he played tennis with many locals at the various tennis clubs in the Green Bay area.  He enjoyed following Wisconsin sports teams as well as the teams his children and grandchildren may have participated in.

He is survived by his loving wife, F. Connie Clusman; children, Pat (Kathy) Clusman; Kevin (Karen) Clusman; Ken (Peggy) Clusman; Karla (Kevin) Kujava; Karen (Dan) O’Neil and Tim (Jessica) Clusman; grandchildren, Jason Clusman, Kari (Travis) Derks, Shea (Shannon) Clusman, Bree Clusman, Mitchell Clusman, Steve (Erika) Clusman, Katie (Dr. Nick) Johnson, Kayla (Matt) Harper, Emma Clusman, Fulton Clusman and Griffin Clusman; great grandchildren, Finley, Meena and Baylor Derks, Peyton and Theo Clusman, Hailey and Cade Johnson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Larry Miller, Norbert Kane, Larry and Lynn Kane, Dorothy and Roy Lindeman, Rita and Greg Immel, Ralph Kane, Mary Jo Kane and Kate O’Neil and Dan and Connie Kane; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Jack Clusman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Hilda Kane; brother-in-law, infant Roland Kane; sisters-in-law, Joni Kane and Bette Kane.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin Ave., from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Finian Zaucha, OFM officiating.  Burial will take place in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
