Sarah “Sally” Ann Chaloupka

Sarah “Sally” Chaloupka, 92, crossed over to be with her husband Arnie on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Sally was born on June 3, 1930, to the late Mary Gallagher. She was a graduate of Valders High School Class of 1948. She married Arnold “Arnie” Chaloupka on June 20, 1951, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove.

Following her marriage, she worked in Manitowoc at Mirro Aluminum Co. In 1953, Sally and Arnie started a new life in Sacramento, CA. She worked various jobs, but particularly loved her job at Barricini Candy. In 1985, Sally and Arnie moved to Green Bay where they settled and made their home. Sally retired from Walmart in 1996. Sally loved to dance which she continued to do until 80 years old. She loved going for long car rides and watching the Bold and the Beautiful. She was a member of the VFW Post 2113 of De Pere, Moose Lodge 801, St. Bernard’s Lady Society and the Over 55 Club.

Sally will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Cindy Chaloupka and Sande (Ric) Frehse both of Green Bay; one son, Tom Chaloupka of Sacramento; six grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Gott, Wanda Chaloupka, Ashley Chaloupka, Michael Frehse, Brandt Terrell and Bridget Terrell; thirteen great grandchildren, Elijah, Lily, Jazlynn, Jadyn, Jamison, Jaylynn, Cody (Tonya), Kiley (Tiffany), Kayla, Trevor (Gaby), Michael, Jazmine, and Tristan; two great-great grandchildren, Ellie and Kenslie.

In addition to her mother, Sally was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Arnie; three brothers-in-law, Roland (Helen), Chester (Wilma), and Norbert (Evie) Chaloupka; two sisters-in-law, Grace (George) Junk and Alice (Joe) Kouba; a great grandson, Isaiah Gott; and great-great granddaughter, Aubrey Drewieske.

Family and friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Monday, August 22, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. followed by Parish Wake Service. Visitation continues Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Dr., from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mark VanderSteeg officiating.
