Susan C. McAvoy, 74, of Green Bay, died Saturday, February 24, 2024, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born May 25, 1949, in Port Washington, WI to the late Daniel and Lila (Gramoll) Bintzler.

Susan was a graduate of Green Bay West High School, Class of 1967. Shortly after graduation, she enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. She served in the U.S. Army Reserves for an additional nine years. Susan worked for International Paper (Non-Woven) in Ashwaubenon until her retirement. Family was very important to Susan, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending her time flower gardening, attending weekly Bible studies at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and volunteering as a poll worker during elections.

Susan is survived by her sons, Jonathan McAvoy (significant other, Carey), Kelly (Anne) McAvoy, and Richard Pearson; her grandchildren, Kaitlin, Alexander, Caleb, Eve, Camille, Tyler, and Olivia; her two sisters, Kathy Christenson and Sandra Bringe; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, on Saturday, March 2nd from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Sr. Pat Clement officiating. On-line condolences may be given at www.prokowall.com.
