Yvonne M. “Vonnie” (Boucher) Herlache, 88, went home to Jesus peacefully and reunited with her beloved husband on April 10, 2024, in the comfort of her home.  She was born at her parents’ home in Thiry Daems on December 20, 1935, the daughter of Wilbert and Lorraine (Wery) Boucher.  Vonnie graduated from Luxemburg High School in 1953 and worked at the local Woolworths Five & Dime Store.  On September 28, 1968, she married Finley W. “Fin” Herlache, the love of her life.  The two loved to dance and play cards and were Weidner Center members.  Their cottage at Sand Bay was a favorite spot for family and friends to gather.  She lovingly took care of him for 4 years before his passing on April 16, 2014. Now they are “Together Forever”.

Vonnie worked for 40 years at WOS, a job she really enjoyed.  She retired at the age of 75.  Vonnie enjoyed feeding the birds and the squirrels.  She enjoyed trips to the casino, fishing, watching the Packer games and baking.  Guests loved receiving her treats, especially her stuffed mushrooms and her dill pretzels.  She was a longtime member of St. Bernard Catholic Parish and a faithful mass goer.  In her later years, Vonnie became a rabid Bucks and Brewers fan.

Vonnie is survived by a beloved daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Dean Giese, their children, Saige (Chris) Diedrich, Trinity and her Little Buckaroo Raif; her stepdaughter and her husband, Sharon and Dick Donarski; their son, Brian (Sara) Donarski, and great-grandchildren, Davian Diedrich, Cameron and Brooke Donarski; many special friends including the St. Bernard McDonald Girls and Jack Rentmeester; a special niece, Gwen Deterville; numerous nieces and nephews and her grand puppies, Emma Jean and Lilo.

In addition to her beloved Fin, she was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Lorraine Boucher; her parents-in-law, Jules and Rose Herlache; a sister, Cynthia (Delano) Jansen; a brother, Wayne (Sandy) Boucher; and brothers-in-law, Kermit (Flora) Herlache and Milton (Lorraine) Herlache.

Friends and family will gather from 9:30 to 11:00 on Friday, April 19th at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.  Entombment will be in Shrine of the Good Shepherd.  To send online condolences visit www.prokowall.com.
